The Terminal E Program consists of several projects designed to improve operational functions and enhance the passenger experience. The West Vertical Circulation project will improve passenger flow and provide access to the future parking garage. The CBP Corridor Moving Walkways project will enhance the CBP Corridor by installing moving walkways and themed supergraphics. The CBP Primary Inspection Hall will be reconfigured with additional queue space, more restrooms, and additional inspection booths to increase capacity. The CBP Vertical Circulation in Arrivals Hall project will increase capacity with new vertical circulation from Level 2 to Level 1. The West Bag Make-Up Room project will correct bag make-up deficiencies and create space for new Claims 9 and 10. Lastly, the Baggage Handling System (BHS) Enhancements project will replace end-of-life baggage handling equipment to improve operational efficiency.

Description of Project Scope


This project involves resurfacing the full length of the runway, except for the 15R-33L intersection, which was recently paved in 2024. Additionally, the project includes upgrading the runway edge lighting system, encompassing conduit, cables, light bases, and fixtures. The runway was last rehabilitated in 2016 using warm mix asphalt. Based on the projected Pavement Condition Index (PCI), the runway is expected to fall below the minimum service level of 70, making it eligible for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funding. The typical life cycle of a runway at Logan Airport is 10-12 years.

Description of Project Scope


Three projects are underway to enhance Terminal C. The Ticketing Hall & JetBlue Club (L1809) project involves demolishing and upgrading existing ticketing and baggage areas (TC1B, TC1A, TC2A) with new finishes and fitting out a new JetBlue Club. The C3 Bag Room Lounge (L1836) project, split into four phases, includes capturing work zones, installing foundations and steel, demolishing and relocating utilities, building a new façade and interiors, and reinstalling a jet bridge, all while maintaining access to key areas. The C2E Modernization (L1866) project upgrades both departures and arrivals levels: departures phases focus on capturing and renovating areas (C5-C8) with new INS corridors, ceilings, floors, and a building addition, while arrivals phases involve foundation work, façade and interior upgrades, office relocations, and rerouting access, ensuring operational continuity. These efforts aim to modernize facilities and improve the passenger experience.
